Progress becomes an object
The desk book is built from a back board, front board, leather spine and a sheaf of paper for each earned case file. Its thickness changes as the collection grows. Correspondent tabs make it possible to jump to a file while retaining sequential paging.
Follow the whole transition
The August review corrected a cover rotating through the text block, a gap along the bound edge, and a reading page appearing at its destination before the book arrived. The final sequence keeps the leaf dark until the book reaches the reading position and the cover begins to lift.
Look at what survives the focus effect
A screen-space dimming treatment had obscured transparent room elements. The focus treatment moved to depth of field, and a supposedly blurry page turned out to be too small. The accompanying capture shows the current title screen and study; it is not a recording of all the casebook transitions.
What I learned
State can be correct while the picture is wrong. A visible node does not prove that its cover opens in the right direction, its binding touches the paper, or its text is large enough to read.
