Chimera Country / Development update

Breed for a route, then watch the run.

The Godot prototype now has a seven-event campaign, readable animal abilities and a separate broken-boardwalk experiment.

The farm has become a route puzzle

The current Godot direction asks players to breed animals whose anatomy opens routes through short courses. Puddle swims, Rumble breaks gates and Pip climbs. Their combinations carry visible differences into the maze, breeding preview and portraits. The old voxel-farm artwork no longer describes this build.

Carry a stable across seven events

The campaign begins with Pond rescue and continues through seven numbered challenges, ending at The Long Way Round. Named adventures preserve animals and progress. Stamina loss appears through sweat, drooping eyes and a red bar before tired animals release into jointed physics.

Keep the next mechanic separate

Broken Boardwalk tests four-footed support over a missing plank, with a swimming bypass. It has its own temporary stable and is not Level 8. The retained record reports 787 campaign checks plus 105 separate stance checks; those are development records, not fresh test results from this website update.

What I learned

An inherited body part is more meaningful when the player can see which route it changes. Testing a new ability in an isolated course protects the campaign's existing rules while the mechanic is still uncertain.
